Any suggestions for my rockstar masquerade themed sweet sixteen?
I really need suggestions I’m panicking! (even though it is a year away!) I need to pick the venue but I do have one I’m interested in. The venue I’m planning on having my party at, I will be entering through the floor and when I come out I want a smoke machine to start. I’m thinking of having strobe lights and techno/rock music. I’m thinking red and black for the colors and I definitely want a cupcake tower! What should I give for party favors!? Links for invitation designs would be great and any other suggestions I would LOVE! I’m having my party in NYC so if you have recommendations for venues that are affordable I would love that!

these don’t really match the theme exactly, but they are edgy and might work for the masquerade part of it? not really. what it does more is that it sets the stage for the venue and what kind of clothes they’re expected to wear.

OR! i just had a brilliant idea. you can do a VIP pass! ( http://www.birthday-parties-for-kids.com/?p=133 ) like wear it around your neck as a pass to get in. and rent a tour bus for like 20 of your best friends as a pre-party kind of and go to dinner before with them then head over to the venue. and those special people can have the “all access pass” to a back red velvet roped off lounge area or something special during the part and the others get the VIP pass. or concert tickets for the regular invitation, VIP passes after they’ve confirmed to make sure they RSVP, and all access to the few…

for cakes, http://www.partypop.com/Vendors/4247123.htm the site looks amazing. do the black and red like you wanted… with black (or i guess dark brown) on the inside, making it a chocolate cake. then the red hard shell frosting stuff coating it. and an electric guitar smashed into it… but wait, you said cupcake tower. mm, you could do the chocolate with red frosting and … i actually don’t know.
let me know what you think about all this! like what you end up choosing! i’m actually like really interested because this theme sounds really cool and i’m curious to see how it all turns out!
