best rock music today
What do you think of today’s rock music?
Well to me honestly, if you think My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, etc. are the best bands EVER (I mean EVER), then you are sadly mistaken.
First reason – Have you ever realized what real rock music is?
It takes real emotion to play a song. Lyrics about crying because your boyfriend / girlfriend dumped you is not real rock music.
And second reason – Maybe you should look at older bands and what they have accomplished. They have been playing music for years, and it took them a lot of skill to make those great songs that they do. How do you think newer bands got their influences? It’s simple, by older bands. And older bands have been around much longer also.
Now, i’m not trying to put down anyone by what they listen to, but take it to consideration that you shouldn’t be all over one band because of it’s popularity or how ‘hot’ Gerard Way or Pete Wentz are, but because of the message that it sends.
Who agrees with me?
I agree but that is popular music. I like old popular rock better than today’s. I like todays underground stuff better than older popular music though. If I can get my hands on older underground music I’ll see what I like more then.
