I 100% agree. Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley were as good or better than John Lennon and Paul McCartney at writing great music. Of course, we’re talking about different genres here so they can never really be classified in the same field. Layne was and is a God and left a strong legacy for our younger generations to carry on his passions and talents. Unfortunately, he made some stupid choices and got himself to a point of no return in his drug addiction. He not only showed us great music, but also a lot about the things heroin can do to you.
