What ever happened to good music?

Alright, I know it is only my opinion, but for the past 5 or 6 years or so, I have been finding myself less and less impressed with current music trends. I thought some of it was alright, but about 2 years ago, I think it all just hit rock bottom. What happened to melodies? What happened to songs NOT about sex? What happened to variety? What happened to artists becoming famous for their talent and creativity? Music died at the turn of the century. I blame the tweens. Not that I don’t like young people. I just think they are missing out.

Well in my opinion music died when black people steered away from jazz and started making silly rap songs about fat assed black women, and money that they don’t or shouldn’t have. I don’t know why any major label would have signed these people in the first place but now here we are….the charts are dominated by computerized beats and talking, with no real melodies or talent.

I miss good rock songs, and pop that is created with instruments.

Please don’t take offense to what i have said, i am not trying to be racist, i was just being general. But yeah you’re not the only one!
