As there is so much mis-information out there on astrology I really feel it’s about time to set the record straight! We are well and truly in the new age of Aquarius but it seems we haven’t attained the promise of the song from the 1960′s rock musical show Hair (quoted above)
Now as someone who has studied astrology for over 20 years I have decided to write about it from a higher perspective so you can be better informed and decide if this is something that can be helpful for you!
Here are a few pointers and explanation of certain terms you may hear if you have a reading done by a competent astrologer.
Horoscope literally means the hour as in horo and range of abilities as in scope.
So it means you were born at a certain hour with the talent or ability attributable to the planetary arrangement.
The Birthchart or horoscope is a picture or snapshot of the heavens when observed from a certain point on the Earth and the picture changes every few minutes. That’s why its unique and can clearly show exactly what it is you came to Earth to be and do. When its interpretated from your soul’s perspective its very illuminating and can help you to understand more of your life path and journey
As Carl Jung who studied and worked with astrology said Whatever is born or done this moment of time, has the qualities of this moment of time.
So in a nutshell
The horoscope can be viewed as a school in which the lessons of life are learned.
There are 12 houses in the horoscope and each relates to a a different area of your life.
The 12 houses represent the classrooms. (More about that next time)
The signs ie Aries through to Pisces describe the lessons you came to learn
The planets are the teachers. eg Pluto is the planet of Transformation and when it aspects your chart it creates or mirrors major shifts in your life.It also describes how and where you will go through transformation in your life.
So how can astrology shed light on your Divine potential?
The 3 most important factors in understanding your life purpose and divine potential are;
The rising sign (Ascendant) which is calculated by the moment you take your first breath at birth!
The chart ruler(s) (soul centred and personality rulers)and their placement and aspects
The North and South node
These can only be worked out from an accurate birth chart and not from sun sign astrology.
