What do you think about this school that won’t let a boy go to his girlfriends public school prom?

They are going to suspend him and not let him walk at graduation. Isn’t that a bit overboard? First off this school is wayyy behind the times. It’s 2009 – No dancing, rock music, hand-holding, or kissing?? Seriously?! I don’t think the bible says you can’t do any of that.
And since it’s an out of school activity can they really do that?
I know he signed an agreement but how can they restrict what he does outside of school and off school property? I’m sorry but in my book that is illegal.
Wow. That is……something else. Unfortunately, he goes to a private school, and they can do whatever they want. But the school has no right to give him a permission signature and then go on to say “Oh, by the way, if you do what we just allowed you to do, you will be suspended, get incompletes in all of your classes, and not be able to walk at graduation.”
That makes me so furious. I remember at my high school 3 girls weren’t allowed to walk at graduation because they drove by the school and flashed a bunch of people. That’s understandable. But to go to a dance where there is ROCK MUSIC? It sounds like this article is from the 50′s.
