Some people say it’s dead, others say its alive, but every ignorant say’s let it die. There are some kid band’s that make music survive or will do it, for example: Still Pending, Guilty Party and Los Gauchos de Acero. But still 2000′s decade has had Some new good bands, like Audioslave with guitarist Tom Morello Third eye blind is a good alternative rock band and so is The all american rejects and Teddy Gielger.
Those were the new bands but lets talk about old bands which still make music GOOD music, there’s The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Guns n’ Roses, Oasis, Coldplay, R.E.M, Iron maiden, Mettalica basicly.
But the problems now a days the problem with music is that pop has gotten in the way so has rap. People like it because there are some sensual pretty lead female singers or a male singer who can dance well. And people forget about what music really is, Its about sticking it to the man people forgot it, Later on it was changed to ” Sex, Drugs, Rock n’ roll” Which wasn’t a good theme for the music and well some parent’s didn’t want there kids to hear what they say is poetry about sex and drugs. But it isn’t! Its about passion and feeling free.
Another thing that has happened over the years is that Labels don’t give local rock bands a chance at all, music magazines don’t write anything about Rock, just pop stars and rappers.
Sadly i haven’t been in these ages of Sabbath. Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Guns n’ Roses, The Who, Those are one tiny part of the Real Bands. So thats all i have to say. If you are musician don’t give your music up maybe YOU can make music survive
