rock music criticism
My family calls me weird because i listen to rock?
I’m black, and Rap is by far my favorite genre, but i’ve been getting into rock lately. As you’ve probably noticed, i’ve been in this section asking questions about guitars, because i plan to buy one. Well anyway, i’ve recieved criticism from my cousins, classmates, and older family because i like rock. They’ll be like “why do you want to listen to that white people’s music” or “that crap sucks”. My cousins are rap fans, but my older family doesn’t even like that i listen to rap. It’s like no matter what i listen to, someone doesn’t approve. What should i do about this? What would you do if you were in this situation?
Hey Listen to what your heart want’s to hear, I’m been around for many moons and I’m a rock fan but I also listen to rap hip hop like people like this, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Swollen Members, Busta Rhymes, 3rd Bass, Jay-Z, Black Eyed Peas, Ghostface, Eminem, The Dogg Pound
Nice & Smooth, 2Pac, Arrested Edvelopment, Run-D. M. C., Gang Starr, Onyx, Ice-T , Domino, Boyz N Da Hood, Daz Dillnger, Naughty By Nature, Noreaga and so many more, I would say not to bad for a white rocker
and here is some of my all time R&B, The Commodores, Booker T. & The M.G.s, James Brown, Barry White, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, Isaac Hayes, Kool And The Gang, Sly And The Family Stone , Joe Tex, Parliament, Rick James, Prince, Jully Black, Shareefa, Ray Charlies, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Johnny Taylor, and Tina Turner and Billie Holiday.
and I have all thes in my collection plus hundred’s more.
