Whats the best place to move in England if….?
you have 2 children..
one LOVES music, especially rock/alternative. Shes a teenager and wants to move somewhere with tons of gigs and “life” and definitely NOT a village.
the other doesnt really mind but me and my husband want to have a really good education for him, as hes smart. so possibly somewhere with some really good independent/ private schools, so he’ll have a bright future.
we’ve crossed out London and Birmingham, anywhere else?
we’ve got annoying relatives in London and Birmingham, nothing personal lol
we live in England now, if that helps. in Milton Keynes. The gigs are okay but the education isnt that greatt.
Manchester has a good Music scene with plenty of gigs going on. I basically spent my teen years in Manchester going to gigs every night.
as for Schools in Manchester, there are a few good ones. Manchester Grammar School, Bury Grammar School, William Hulme Grammar School, The Hulme Grammar School for Boys (this was my school)
there are plenty of other good schools, but those are just a few within a short distance of each other around the Manchester areas, and in the towns surrounding Manchester.
if you pick any of the towns that surround Manchester, there are very good transport links into the city centre, and the town themselves are quite big and have a lot of life
