How to get inspired to write MUSIC to a song whose lyrics are already…ready?
Well, this friend of mine writes like THE BEST lyrics for hip hop- rap songs and she needs sth classic-rock on the background for music how can i get inspired to write some rather dark music that I am searching…Sometimes I think I have a brilliant idea for a melody but like 10 secs later I realize its from a song I already know! What should I do?
I was always getting like that for a while! I was really angry at myself when I was writing songs… they were all melodies I’ve heard before.
It doesn’t happen as much to me now for some reason. Just play around with an instrument and maybe you’ll come up with something.
Another idea is you can change the melody a bit and make it sound different. But that’s kinda risky because sometimes you can get sued for plagiarism
