Is this event “racist” in any way?
What would the “black community” think if the music industry had a “White Girls Rock! Awards” where ONLY white female rock-n-rollers were invited?
Your analogy is flawed.
It IS the case that for centuries Blacks were told they were ugly and otherwise worthless, and Whites were held to be the ideal.
It is NOT the case that Whites have been taught they’re ugly, and only Blacks are not.
When two situations aren’t the same, then, well, they aren’t the same.
