Why do you think “Stairway To Heaven” is STILL the most requested song – EVER?

rafferty, I beg to differ. I am not only a “baby boomer”, but also a mix of both “Free Bird” and “Stairway To Heaven”.
when my friend died at the age of 16, ( 1984), we played free bird and stairway to heaven, her 2 favorite songs. to this day whenever i hear either one of them, i think of her and how much trouble we got into together.
RIP laura, gone but never forgotten.
