What do you think of Lou Reed’s “Transformer?”?

There’s some sort of big legend surrounding this album, so I had very high expectations when I bought it the other day… I was extremely underwhelmed. It’s like he can’t decide whether he wants to be gay or artsy or pissed off, or all of the above, and it’s just a big, sloppy, dated mess. What do you think?

I like it. I’ve always thought it sounded pretty focused, actually. I’m not sure giving it another try is going to do much good for you, because it’s not exactly the most subtle album in the universe. You might just have to live with it.
