Help Creating Hip Hop music.?

so i want to start getting into and creating my own hip hop music. but i am a little lost on what type of equipment i will be needing. i already have reason 4.0 on my computer but i would some suggestions of turntables,keyboards,sequencers,etc. (mostly midi) So could anyone clear for me what to use and maybe a specicfic model.

i’d suggest a korg or yamaha keyboard workstation around $1000. The Korg TR-61 and Yamaha MO6 are two very good keyboards for the price. You will be able to make great sounding beats on these and sequence them into songs, and the devices will integrate with your computer software. You can also sample and add effects and use them for live performance and lots of other cool stuff. Check out some youtube reviews of the keyboard and you will see what they are capable of. Down the road you might be interested in an Akai MPC. Most rappers and producers tend to use the MPC 2000XL for drum machines/samplers.
