Should Hall of Fame nominees have multiple chances to be voted in ?
Cris Carter has had 3 years of eligibilty and has not been voted to the Hall of Fame. Irrespective of whether he should be in or not, why should he be given more than one chance ? If he’s not good enough now, why will he be good enough next year or the next ?
Should players only have 1 chance ?
I’ve often wondered myself. Kind of like baseball. Their stat don’t change from year to year so what makes them a HOFer today when they weren’t last year? I’ll never figure that out. But in some cases it’s pretty clear that guys like Cris Carter belong in the hall. Why he hasn’t gone in yet is a example of a pretty messed up system. I’m sure he will eventually get in and that alone is a good reason for having multiple chances of getting voted in.
