soda blast or glass bead blast to clean pool tiles?
We have quite a build up of calcium type deposit on our 4 year old pool tiles.
We just got an estimate and information on soda blasting, which we had never heard of but sounds GREAT… a little pricey though.
Anyone have any knowledable information about either type?
First of all, I have glass beaded many items and/or articles in my time & the last thing that I would ever glass bead or peen, would be tiles. You’ll more than likely remove their finish. It really is an amazing product that not only will remove this calcium, but it will clean the grout lines & bring you’re tiles to their original luster. I’m not kidding. I have used this product on plumbing fixtures, tubs, sinks, fiberglass or porcelain, grout joints on counter tops & floors and so on. It has many, many uses. The only thing is to wear long rubber gloves & do not let come into contact with any polished marble surfaces. This would etch them, leaving a honed-looking finish once dry.
