country music television stations

Why can’t there be separate radio stations-one for real country and one for country pop?
I don’t have a problem with a lot of country pop per se, but the problem is that’s ALL what the so-called “country” radio stations play anymore. Stations should either give equal time to real country and country pop, or have a seperate radio station where people can actually listen to real country.
What also p*sses me off is that too many country musicians are trying to be like hip-hop or pop rock. If that’s the case, SING HIP-HOP and POP ROCK THEN, stop killing country. I’m getting pretty damn sick of seeing thong wearing hos and not-so-subtle degenerate pornographic elements on every da*n channel, now it’s even on CMT! I used to have a lot of respect for CMT because it was the only music channel on television that had any kind of integrity. Now they’ve gone MTV! We already have enough perverted “MTV” type channels, what, we got MTV, MTV2, BET, VH1…why does CMT have to lower itself to the level of the mob?
it all comes down to money, money, money…corporations that own these media outlets don’t want to take the risk with “classic country”..they honestly believe that there’s no audience for it…of course…none of them have tried, so how would they know?…my son lives in tennessee and he listens to a listener-supported, public station that plays NOTHING but classic country and bluegrass…AND the station has a huge loyal listener base…
i feel yer pain…but, unfortunately, that’s the nature of the beast…
