Who thinks CMT and MTV will be changed or removed from the television sooner or later?
It always makes me wonder as much reality shows that are shown on these channels anymore that they will soon be shut off the air or changed to a different name of channel. CMT and MTV do not live up to their names anymore, as MTV stood for Music TeleVision and CMT as Country Music Television. I remember back when I was in my teens and childhood numbers, CMT used to be filled with music. What do you all think will happen with the reality shows and what do you think will happen for us music lovers to keep on knowing who our ppl who are on the radio?
I don’t remember the last time I heard MTV actually play music, yet they’ve been on the air forever. I don’t really think either station will be going anywhere anytime soon. CMT plays more music than MTV does, but not much more. Reality TV is the thing to watch now (so the ratings show) so those channels have to put out what people are supposedly watching. Does that make sense? So they probably feel that with all the Ipods and cds that no one is even listening to music on their stations anymore. I don’t really know- that’s my guess..
