What is the Best Bass Guitar Amp for Country and Gospel Music?

Right now i’m playing on a Peavey TKO 115 combo, I’m wanting to upgrade to a single cabinet and head, probably
4-10s. I can find all the amps rock musicians play but i’m having a hard time finding the standards for country and gospel.

No matter what style you play, you can’t go wrong with an American made Fender P-Bass, they are probably the most versatile bass guitar. Look at the Highway One series if you’re on a budget. They play great, look good, and most importantly, they sound good. I’d also go for an Ampeg amp. I play through a BA-115 for smaller gigs and medium sized gigs. It’s more than enough. Generally, if I need more volume (which usually I only need outside), I run a line out to the PA’s bass bins. I don’t like to have a amp behind me, to control my stage volume. If the instruments are too loud, then you can’t hear monitors, etc. This works for my band, may not for yours, but I really don’t see a need to use a big rig, then everyone competes with volume.
