Singing, HELP!??!

Hi,
Today I was at guitar lessons and I was singing while I was playing.
I was having trouble doing the doe-rae-me scale. I did doe-rae-me-fa but I couldn’t do so-la-de-doe. (I’m sorry if I didn’t spell it right, excuse me)
And my teacher said my voice was in a D flat range?
I sing country music, could you give me some songs in that range or people who sing in that range? I never knew singing was so difficult, I knew you had to know how to read note, and such.
But anyways, could I be in a better range? How could I do so?
Also, is that bad?
How can I get the scale right? I’ve tried doing the scale on the guitar and piano but like I said, I can get so-la-de-doe.
