country music it’s america

Would England appreciate a country singer?
I wanna try to get my music heard but im from manchester and I sing country music. Will people like this in england? I want to break the RnB trend and try to get the younger generation (apart from the ones who DO like country and rock etc.). I play the guitar, I write my own songs and Im smart, as in I think i will be able to deal with everything because my family is very supportive. I realize it will be hard im just asking if england will like a teenage girl singing country music? Oh and the reason this is on the american one is because lots of english people go on this site rather than .co.uk and I also hope to get my music heard in america. It’ll be hard but I’m determined!
p.s – that was so hard to say in the write words without sounding stupid. (:
I know American country artists who have toured England and been very warmly received. Slim Whitman has sold more records in England than in the U.S. George Hamilton IV has toured there many times with great success. British comedian Vic Reeves (Jim Moir) took his stage name in part from a country singer (Jim Reeves), so even the “younger generations” appreciate the long and varied history of American country music.
One thing, though: be yourself and develop your own sound instead of trying to sound like whomever is popular at the moment. It takes so long to get discovered that if you’re impersonating the current trend it’ll be a passed phase by the time you get noticed.
