Music Department at the University of Pittsburgh?
I’ve been scouring the country looking for reputable schools to go for degrees in music (composition, education, theatrical production), and originally discounted Pitt because I heard nothing about its Music Dept.
Money’s tight, and I am in state and would get a great deal on Pitt. Does anyone have any insight into their music department– like:
- Amount of students learning music
- Quality of Professors
- Repute in Music industry
Any information would be really helpful! Thanks in advance!
I know they’re well-known for jazz education, but I have no clue about other types of music. Is there any way you can go visit? Usually universities will let you walk around the department and then you could go check out music classes and whatnot. Good luck!
