FOR COUNTRY MUSIC FANS…why is it that you rarely see big entertainers like…..?

george strait or alan jackson (for example) do many duo’s?
i know that several years back they did some tandem songs like “murder on music row and designated drank er”

to me both george and alan seem to be pretty good ol boy’s,very down to earth, just would love to hear them do more duets.

also it would be good to see the older artist like george jones, loretta lynn, etc to do some songs with the newer artist,(if time and good health permit.) most of the “true” legends of country are gone, and to see them for one more time make a hit or two would be good.

just a thought for the country song fans..

In 2005, Alan Jackson was featured on the song “Out in the Parkin’ Lot” from Brad Paisley’s album TIME WELL WASTED. Also, George Jones–though you didn’t mention him before–has made appearances on a number of artists’ albums including Jamey Johnson’s 2006 album THE DOLLAR (I believe it was for the song “Keepin’ Up with the Jonesin’”) as well as a Shooter Jennings song from the album PUT THE O BACK IN COUNTRY (on the song “Fourth of July,” which Jones re-recorded the chorus to “He Stopped Loving Her Today” for…well, it sounds re-recorded to me anyway).

Anyway, there are a number of other big entertainers from the past (and more modern entertainers who are big stars as well) who do duets once in a while. Actually, back in 2003, a country guitarist (who also often plays rock) named Albert Lee did an instrumental which featured Vince Gill, who was quite popular in the 90′s, and Brad Paisley, who is still quite popular…I don’t think Paisley was as popular when that instrumental version of “Luxury Liner” (the one that Lee feat. Gill and Paisley did) as he is now though (not sure on that though). Of course, it seems to me that you’re thinking of the older country artists who have the more traditional country sound than most artists from around the 80′s and 90′s up to now.
