International legal discrepancy…?

My concern is with certain legal differences between American law and Canadian law (I assume most users are Amercian as Yahoo is based there). Mainly in regards to p2p/filesharing/piracy. Downloading music is safe in Canada under copyright law (http://www.news.com/2100-1027_3-5182641.html). The national police (RCMP) are not going to go after downloaders (http://urltea.com/2p9c). So it’s legal. My concert is in posting questions regardin piracy, even indirectly (like asking how to pay Daft Punk direcly because I pirated their whole discography, for example). I am following community guidelines (“…so don’t post anything that violates the laws of your country, state, province, or city.”) as what I post about is legal in my country. Yet, my questions are revoked. So, what I ask is this: Is there any retribution for my questions once removed, or am I the vicim of American bigotry despite the Guidelines?

If you can PROVE that what you are posting is on the Canadian Yahoo Answers site, you might have recourse. But, if you are giving US people information about things that are NOT LEGAL in the US, then it does not matter that what you are posting is legal in your country, would be my guess. And, since I have my questions set to ONLY US — and this question posted for me to see — I’m thinking your postings are going out on the US site, where they are geing reported. Discretion is the better part of posting on this site, I’d think.
