I’m looking for any songs about Jesus or God that are NOT by christian groups. I am trying to make a mix for my stepdad who is a rather religious man. Nothing too crazy as he is in his 60′s, so no metal. I’d prefer anything rock or indie (the more obscure the better) and anything country (older stuff preferred). It doesn’t really have to name drop Jesus or God (ala my morning jackets – look at you) it just has to be something with hope and inspiration. Don’t waste my time if your just going to be rude and suggest slayer – reign in blood. I know my music.
