Question about heavy metal band singers?
I took my son and his two friends to see Demon Hunter sunday at The Blues Cafe at Downtown Disney in Orlando on Sunday. There were 5 different bands, each sung 5 different songs. I was the oldest guy there; age 54. So I know different rock and roll groups over the years.
This was my first heavy metal band. Can anyone tell me WHY the lead singer SCREAMS into the mike? The music (instruments) were DEFINITELY rock and roll, and sometimes they even sang rock, but the lead singer in all 5 bands SCREAMED into the mike!
Nothing they said could be understood.
