Blues music doesn’t necessarily have to be sad, which is a common misconception. The basic instruments of the rock genre are often used, including the guitar, drum kit, (upright) bass, and vocals. The mood has two general forms: in a major key, but depressing, or in a minor key. Some prime examples of the major key would be “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones, and for the minor key, you could basically find anything from Muddy Waters.
